The Metiri Group announces its continuing collaboration between APPL, a Metiri Group subsidiary, and the Fresno State University Chemistry Program.
Beginning with the start of classes on August 22, APPL will work with the students and the Fresno Chaffee Zoo Life Support Team to monitor the performance of the filter systems at the aquatic features for the new Kingdom's of Asia Exhibit. After a three-week orientation, the students will begin working across multiple departments of the laboratory. These analyses will monitor the quality of the freshwater used in the exhibits in anticipation of an opening of the exhibits later this fall or early next spring.

Metiri Group purchases Agriculture and Priority Pollutants Laboratories LLC (APPL) of Clovis, California
It is with great excitement that we share the news of Metiri Group’s purchase of Agriculture and Priority Pollutants Laboratories LLC (APPL) of Clovis, California.
Prior to joining the Metiri Group, APPL operated for over 30 years as a certified small, woman-owned laboratory. With a strong team and national service reach, including Hawaii and Alaska, APPL has developed a reputation for quality and service.
With laboratory operations in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and now, California, Metiri brings a full complement of analytical capabilities to support its clients, including specialty capabilities of PFAS, TO-15 air testing, and dioxins. We do soil, air, and all the waters - from groundwater, wastewater, drinking water, and the like - and hold a broad set of State, NELAC, and Federal certifications and accreditations.
These capabilities are supportive, complementary, and serve our growth ambitions to be the first choice for environmental analytical laboratory services.
Holding that position requires a commitment to nimble and responsive service, top-quality, breadth of capabilities, and an ability to deliver. The APPL team joins a growing Metiri family of employees who share that commitment, and we look forward to demonstrating that commitment at an even larger scale to our clients.
We’re deeply appreciative of the opportunity to partner with our new APPL team members, and all of our Metiri employees, as we build for the future. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more.

APPL is PFAS Certified
In an effort to evaluate the extent of Perfluorinated analyte (PFAS) contamination, the California Water Board will soon be issuing California Water Code 13267 Investigative Orders to 31 airports with training/fire response sites and 252 Municipal solid waste landfills. The direct release of PFAS products during fire training and response activities (primarily from aqueous film forming foam, AFFF), and the indirect release from disposal of consumer and industrial PFAS products has been identified as a source of PFAS contamination in drinking water. The Orders will require analysis of water samples for PFAS by a laboratory maintaining BOTH California ELAP AND Department of Defense ELAP certifications for PFAS analysis. APPL, Inc., a small woman-owned disadvantaged business in Clovis, California, maintains both of these certifications and is available to help with your analytical needs once the Orders are received. I have attached a pricing schedule for your review and will be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding this analysis. You may contact me at 559-862-2133 for more information. We look forward to working with you and supporting your efforts to comply with these Investigative Orders.
